Immersive astronaut experience features realistic space simulation

DOF Robotics, a producer of dynamic simulation platforms, has announced a new innovative experience concept for the themed attraction industry.

DOF Robotics has developed Mission Space, a digital park concept that is being showcased for the first time. By stretching the realms of imagination, the 30-40 minute experience will enable guests to discover and “step inside” space.

Each guest will be fully immersed in the story, wearing a full astronaut suit and helmet to fulfil the educational space mission.

During their encounter, each team of six people will cross eight different areas, some featuring expertly-designed simulators which are specially created to provide a realistic journey and provide lasting memories.

Immersive experience

Mission Space visitors will begin by entering the Welcome Area and are invited to put on their authentically-styled costumes. Before the journey begins, a preshow area will review key milestones in space history including important flights and discoveries.

DOF Robotics’ rocket simulator and ISS area will bring astronauts into the rocket, allowing the team to experience a launch for the first time, whilst a planet travel space ship simulator will recreate an exciting journey to the moon.

The moon research lab base will provide opportunities to investigate in a futuristic research lab, followed by a planet explorer simulator, with the rocket now sat on the moon, astronauts will be invited to venture outside before returning to further recreation of the planet research lab base to study and analyse their moon research.

With the investigation finalised, guests enjoy a return to earth simulator, upon which the mission is complete and each individual is confirmed as a “space soldier”.

Wide audience

This digital park has been created by DOF Robotics for a wide audience, suitable for most people over the age of four. By the end of the adventure, visitors will have gained valuable information as well as having a unique experience about space.

Interactive games will provide ample opportunities for competition and team bonding.

Last month, DOF Robotics announced the appointment of its new marketing manager Emrah Ilkan, newly responsible for creating and delivering communications strategies that drive the growth of the company.

DOF Robotics has also recently revealed a brand new dynamic monster truck VR simulator, based on the popular Monster Jam Grave Digger vehicle, in collaboration with Feld Entertainments.
