Grande Experiences, a leading global arts and culture immersive experience company, is celebrating the opening of Monet & Friends Alive at ICONSIAM in Bangkok.
This exhibition follows the success of Van Gogh Alive, which was on show from March to September.
Monet & Friends Alive is a collaboration between Grande Experiences, which created and produced the exhibition, together with Live Impact Events, and ICONSIAM, a luxury shopping centre on the bank of the Chao Phraya River. This is the biggest presentation of Monet & Friends Alive in Southeast Asia.
This immersive experience uses 3,500 images to present Impressionist art from the 19th century and brings to life the work of artists such as Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Camille Pissarro, Paul Cézanne, and Edgar Degas.
1000+ square metre projection area
Grande Experiences displays are designed to optimise visitor circulation. Plans were created for each part of Monet & Friends Alive in Bangkok, from the main digital gallery to interactive and interpretative rooms, including multiple selfie photo locations.
Aaron Prendergast, manager of touring production, comments: “It’s a fantastic experience to play a part in defining projects alongside talented and professional individuals and collaborating with creative teams from around the world. Being able to witness the journey of a project from inception to reality is truly satisfying.”
Aside from the main immersive gallery area, the exhibition includes a water lily garden interpretation, a Japanese bridge, a themed café, a water lily mirror room, an artist studio, and more. With over 1000 square metres of projection area, the installations require around 60 projectors and 20 computers/media servers.
Following in the footsteps of Van Gogh Alive, Monet & Friends Alive in Bangkok is one of Grande Experiences’ largest multi-sensory exhibitions.
Grande Experiences recently celebrated the opening of two new partnership projects, Dalí Alive 360° at the Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida, and Van Gogh Alive at THE LUME at the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields. These new exhibitions feature Grande Experiences content in combination with additional displays and experiences.
