Imagine, a creator of engaging visitor experiences that entertain, educate, and inspire, is the biggest provider of travelling dinosaur exhibitions, with a portfolio that spans both indoor and outdoor dino-themed shows.
Its most recent exhibit is Ice Dinosaurs, which focuses on dinosaur explorations in Alaska. This joins Dinosaurs Around the World, Dino Safari, Dinosaur Explorer, and art and science exhibition Dinosaurs in Motion.
Imagine works with eminent palaeontologists to write the content and advise on all of its dinosaur exhibitions. Contributors include Dr. Gregory Erickson, Dr. Pat Druckenmiller and Dr. Mark Norell, among others.
Tom Zaller, Imagine president and CEO, says: “Dinosaurs have long captivated audiences of all ages, and at Imagine, we’ve spent over a decade bringing them to life in the most engaging and scientifically accurate ways.
“By collaborating with the world’s leading paleontologists and top animatronic specialists, we create lifelike dinosaur sculptures that reflect the latest discoveries. From animatronic creatures and fossilized skeletons to life-sized, interactive metal sculptures, our exhibitions blend cutting-edge science with immersive design.
“With the expertise of our in-house design and marketing teams, we deliver turnkey traveling and permanent exhibitions adaptable to a wide range of venues.
“And there’s even more to come!”
Scale, sculpture, & cutting-edge research
The Dinosaurs Around the World: The Great Outdoors exhibition combines six sets of up to 15 sophisticated animatronic dinosaurs, a multi-layered narrative, and the latest research to bring the Age of Reptiles to external exhibition spaces.
The show is on a scale never-before seen in dinosaur exhibits and features an array of the most recently discovered and unique dinosaurs on the planet. Guests will journey across Pangea and learn about the dinosaurs that inhabited the original continent configuration, tectonic plates, geological formations, and cutting-edge paleontological research.
In Dinosaurs in Motion, visitors will explore key STEAM concepts through interactive sculptures by late artist John Payne. The 14 fully interactive dinosaur sculptures are crafted from recycled metals, with exposed mechanisms inspired by fossils.
Jan Luth, president at Exploration Place in Wichita, Kansas, says: “Dinosaurs in Motion presents STEAM concepts in a very creative way. It was markedly different from other dinosaur-themed exhibitions and was very popular with both children and adults. We experienced a 40% increase in attendance of Dinosaurs in Motion compared to exhibitions from the previous year.”
Furthermore, in Ice Dinosaurs: The Lost World of the Alaskan Arctic, visitors can encounter newly discovered Arctic-dwelling dinosaurs presented in an exhibition for the first time.
Based on ground-breaking discoveries that broaden conventional knowledge of dinosaur physiology, provinciality, and migration, this exhibition allows visitors to engage with real fossils and museum-quality casts while learning about the distinctive adaptations of polar dinosaurs.
Imagine dinosaur exhibitions are available as travelling rentals and permanent experiences. Its dinosaurs are also available for permanent sale.
Recently, Imagine brought Universcience’s acclaimed exhibition about the science and culture of food to North America.
