Imagineear, an audioguide and multimedia content specialist offering a full range of advisory and interpretation services, is celebrating the opening of Marilyn: The Exhibition at Arches London Bridge, UK, following a highly successful private view and press launch.
The exhibition, the first of its type in the UK, features more than 250 of Marilyn Monroe’s personal belongings and items and provides a unique insight into the personal life of the adored Hollywood icon.
The show is curated from Ted Stampfer’s unique private collection, which includes the largest body of Marilyn Monroe artefacts in the world. By further immersing visitors in the star’s life, Imagineear’s accompanying audioguide enhances the visitor experience.
Engaging storytelling
Imagineear’s specialist production team completed the experience in record time. Its writers scripted the audio, which includes conversations with Suzie Kennedy, a Marilyn impersonator performing on television and film. Kennedy has provided a unique viewpoint that reflects both her experience as a Marilyn performer and her career as a therapist to provide insights into the personal stories of the exhibits.
The tour is provided using the XP4, Imagineear’s most portable and compact handheld audioguide device.
Liz Koravos, MD at Arches, says: “To produce the audio guide for Marilyn: The Exhibition, we had a tight turnaround and decision making needed to be considered but decisive and definitely fast. We were thrilled with the end product which was accurate, engaging and told the story of Marilyn Monroe’s life, death and legacy in a new and interesting way.
“We are the first standalone Marilyn exhibition of this kind in the UK and for the most famous female face of the 20th century, we needed to do her justice and give our visitors a glimpse of the woman behind the icon. Imagineear delivered and were a pleasure to work with.”
Marilyn: The Exhibition is open daily and is accompanied by a programme of special events which are taking place over the coming months.
Imagineear recently announced that Ashridge Capital has made a £4.15m investment in the company.
