Dubai’s Museum of the Future has teamed up with Binance NFT to launch its first NFT collection on the blockchain, titled ‘The Most Beautiful NFTs in the Metaverse’.
The Museum of the Future, which opened in February 2022, is developing a range of digital assets. Its first NFT drop is inspired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum‘s description of the museum as “the most beautiful building on earth”.
“This exciting project is the first of many future ventures that will see us working with the world’s brightest minds and construct high impact developments that will shape the future,” said Lath Carlson, executive director of the Museum of the Future.

“We are honoured to partner with the Museum of the Future in Dubai, a truly unique and innovative concept,” added Helen Hai, head of Binance NFT. “We look forward to working with the museum to develop industry-leading digital products that enhance the growth of the industry and promote adoption of blockchain within the region.”
Covering an area of 30,000 square metres, the Museum of the Future is home to immersive future environments. It features a stainless steel façade adorned with Arabic calligraphy, displaying quotes from poems written by Sheikh Mohammed.
“Museum of the Future’s partnership with the world’s largest cryptocurrency and blockchain ecosystem player makes a significant contribution towards Dubai’s plans to establish a new international digital asset ecosystem, which will, in turn, generate long-term economic growth within the digital economy,” said Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications.
Australia Zoo is also launching an NFT collection created on Algorand, touted as the world’s greenest blockchain. This comes after the British Museum was criticised for the carbon cost of its NFT project.
greenloop 2022, blooloop’s conference on sustainability in visitor attractions, explored how to create a green NFT. Recordings are available to ticket holders until the end of this year.
