The Grand Verdun metropolitan community, France, has issued an RFP for an AGV supplier to provide a guided transportation system for a dark ride.
The Citadelle Souterraine de Verdun is an historic underground citadel and network of tunnels that held strategic importance in World War I.The transportation system required will feature small, self-propelled, independent vehicles (cars or trains) that are guided along a dark ride routethrough the underground galleries.
19 vehicles (including 2 PRM – People with Reduced Mobility) are required as well as a prototype.
Two additional services could also be included: the replacement of a standard vehicle by an additional PRM2 vehicle and optionally maintenance over a 5-year period with tacit renewal.
