BTS musician and art enthusiast RM (Kim Namjoon) is launching a new exhibition at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) this weekend.
The show, titled 'RM x SFMOMA: Between You and Me', is co-curated by RM with the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art's América Castillo and Hyoeun Kim.
Running from 3 October through 7 February, it includes 142 works from RM's personal collection alongside 36 pieces from SFMOMA.
RM's collection includes Korean works by Yun Hyong-keun, Park Rehyun, Kwon Okyon, Kim Yun Shin, To Sangbong and Chang Ucchin, in addition to pieces by contemporary artists from around the world.
From the SFMoMA collection, the exhibition includes works by Korean artist Kim Whanki, as well as American and European artists such as Mark Rothko, Agnes Martin, Henri Matisse, Georgia O’Keeffe and Paul Klee.
"This is the first time I am sharing my collection under my own name," RM said through his agency, BigHit Music (via the Korea Times).

"I think few things reveal a person as honestly as a collection they have built over a long period. In that sense, this exhibition will be quite a long self-introduction."
He added: “My collection includes many works by modern and contemporary Korean artists. Some of their names may still be unfamiliar outside Korea.
"I have collected with the hope of contributing a slightly better perspective and sensibility, and that process has led to this exhibition."
RM, a blooloop influencer, is known for his interest in art and museums. He shares his visits and experiences with millions of Instagram followers, encouraging his fans to explore art for themselves.
He previously collaborated with the Los Angeles County Museum of Art on an exhibition's audio guide, and funded the restoration of a traditional Korean bridal gown held by the institution.
Last month, RM was named the first global public relations ambassador in the National Museum of Korea's history.
