SEGD (the Society for Experiential Graphic Design), a multidisciplinary global community of professionals, has announced that it will be bringing its bi-annual events, Wayfinding + Placemaking and Branded Environments, to Las Vegas this April with the International Sign Association’s (ISA) International Sign Expo 2025.
This year’s theme, Transformation, leads SEGD to examine the significant shifts influencing experiential design and signage. Participants will take part in engaging educational sessions, valuable networking opportunities, and a holistic cross-industry experience, promoting collaboration between SEGD and ISA’s communities.
“Our organizations have worked collaboratively on shared interests for years, so this is a natural next step,” says ISA president and CEO Lori Anderson. “We welcome SEGD attendees to learn more about the products that influence their designs so that together, we can create signs and experiences that enhance communities.”
Cybelle Jones, CEO of SEGD, added: “SEGD is excited to partner with the International Sign Association to bring together our two dynamic communities for a shared exploration of wayfinding, placemaking, and branded environments. This collaboration highlights the synergy between our organizations, offering attendees unparalleled opportunities to learn, connect, and innovate.”
Daily themes
Day one’s Wayfinding + Placemaking event will be themed around Transforming Spaces, Connecting People, inviting attendees to explore how innovative wayfinding and placemaking practices reinvent environments, improve user experiences, and foster inclusion.
Then, on day two, the Branded Environments event will discuss the theme of Transforming Brands, Creating Experiences, looking at how branded environments evolve with culture and technology to redefine user engagement.
Attendees will also gain entry to the ISA International Sign Expo trade show floor, where they can discover the newest materials and technologies influencing design and signage.
SEGD Events & Optional Tours will be held from 22 to 24 April 2025, and the ISA International Sign Expo will be held from 23 to 25 April, both at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. Attendees are invited to extend their visit to Las Vegas to attend Duck Duck Shed (24 to 27 April), organised by The Neon Museum. This four-day event includes unique tours, panels, and discussions with the creative minds behind Las Vegas’ renowned architecture and design.
Building on SEGD’s successful 2024 Las Vegas event, this year’s gathering aims to elevate design’s transformative power.
