A museum of the life of the Palestinian leader, Yasser Arafat opens this week in the same West Bank complex which served as his headquarters under Israeli siege.
The $7m (£5.6m) Yasser Arafat Museum looks at his life and career and also at the wider Palestinian experience.
Just a few minutes from Arafat’s mausoleum the new museum highlights 100 year’s of Palestinian history, including the creation of Israel (1948) and Arafat’s death in France in 2004.
