New visuals of the Centre Pompidou Hanwha in Seoul, South Korea have been released by French architecture studio Wilmotte & AssociƩs ahead of the museum's opening on 4 June.
Earlier this month, the Centre Pompidou announced the opening date of its new partner venue in Yeouido, Seoul's financial district.
Designed by Wilmotte & AssociƩs, the 11,000-square-metre museum will present two major monographic and thematic exhibitions per year over five years.

Spread across nearly 1,500 square metres, the exhibitions will focus on the artists and movements of the 20th century.
Additionally, Centre Pompidou Hanwha will host a series of contemporary art exhibitions highlighting Korean artists, and includes an educational space where young visitors can explore and interact with works of art.

"Designed as a museum resolutely turned toward the future, Centre Pompidou Hanwha builds on Centre Pompidouās tradition of innovation and offers a renewed interpretation of its collection in light of the Korean cultural and artistic context," Centre Pompidou said in a statement.
The launch this year will celebrate the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and South Korea.
Following the opening of the Centre Pompidou's venues in Malaga in 2015 and Shanghai in 2019, another Centre Pompidou outpost will open in Brussels in the coming months.

Additionally, the institution has announced plans for a new museum near Iguazu Falls in the Brazilian state of ParanĆ”. This is designed by Paraguayan architect Solano BenĆtez and due to open in 2027.
Also, Saudi Arabia's AlUla project will include a new contemporary art museum in partnership with the Centre Pompidou. Lina Gotmeh will design it.
The Centre Pompidou in Paris, France closed its doors for a major, five-year renovation in September 2025.
