Tokyo Disneyland operator Oriental Land Company (OLC) has revealed the name of the first Disney cruise ship to sail from Japan.
Named Disney Imagination, the fifth Wish-class ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, will set sail from the Tokyo International Cruise Terminal in spring 2029.
Disney Imagination, the inaugural ship of Disney Cruise Line Japan, will feature Ariel and Sebastian from The Little Mermaid on its stern.

"Today’s announcement of the Disney Imagination marks a significant milestone in the continued expansion of Disney Cruise Line and in our long-standing relationship with Oriental Land Group," said Natacha Rafalski, president of Disney Signature Experiences.
"We are honoured to extend the magic of Disney cruising to fans in new markets and create opportunities for Japanese guests to experience a Disney vacation at sea."
Disney Imagination will offer a range of onboard entertainment and dining experiences, with further details about the ship’s facilities and offerings to be announced at a later date.
The announcement follows Disney Cruise Line’s reveal of attractions and experiences aboard its fourth Wish-class ship, the Disney Believe, which will set sail from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on 18 December.

Entertainment aboard the ship will include a new Encanto stage production, Tangled: The Musical and Disney Seas the Adventure.
Other highlights include Gazelle, an entertainment hub inspired by Zootopia, the Haunted Mansion Parlor immersive bar and Oaken’s Table: A Frozen Family Feast. Two F&B outlets, Big Hero Sips and Café Kakamora, will also debut on the ship.
Disney Imagination is part of a multi-year fleet expansion that will see Disney Cruise Line grow to 13 ships by 2031.
The expansion includes Disney Adventure, which began its maiden voyage from Singapore on 10 March, and a new class of ships set to debut in 2029.
