Kynren – The Storied Lands, a new daytime theme park within the wider Kynren attraction, has opened to the public in County Durham.
Billed as the UK's first live-action show park, the Storied Lands is operating alongside the award-winning evening spectacular, Kynren – An Epic Tale of England.
Designed as a full day experience, it combines live performance, spectacular sets, historic landscapes, free-flying birds, horses, immersive environments and original music.
The new park offers five live productions – The Trusty Steed, The lost Feather, Victorian Imaginariums, Land of the Vikings, and Legend of the Wear.
It also includes a new immersive dining experience called the Time Travellers' Feast.
The Trusty Steed is a thrilling arena show featuring medieval knights and horseback stunts, while The Lost Feather is a breathtaking production featuring free-flying birds.
Victorian Imaginariums is an immersive world filled with curious characters, and Land of the Vikings includes an authentic Viking settlement and a dramatic live performance.
Legend of the Wear is a lakeside show inspired by the Lambton Worm, combining music, water stunts, theatrical effects and immersive storytelling on an outdoor stage.

Following a preview of the new park earlier this month, Kynren's chief executive Anna Warnecke said: "We have created something entirely new for the UK; a full day of live entertainment where storytelling, history, extraordinary performances and the natural world come together to create an experience unlike anything else.
"Seeing our first audiences react to the shows has been a proud and emotional moment for everyone involved."
Kynren – The Storied Lands is designed to expand over a number of years, with more experiences planned for the future.
Due to open in 2027, the next major development planned for the park is the indoor Victorian Village adventure, inspired by the Flambards collection.
