Waterworld Leisure Resort, a tropical-themed indoor water park in Stoke-on-Trent, has announced record visitor growth and further investment under its new owner.
Per a press release, Waterworld has enjoyed its strongest summer attendance in five years, and has also seen revenue across the year exceed 2025 levels.
Acquired by European leisure operator Looping Experiences in July 2025, the park includes a tropical-themed water park with more than 30 waterslides and rides, a seasonal outdoor pool, mini-golf, and an indoor play venue for children.
The resort's outdoor pool area was a key growth driver throughout the summer, confirmed by the Met Office as the UK's hottest on record.
Strong summer attendance
Wayne Goodall, managing director of Waterworld Leisure Resort, said: “Waterworld has had an extremely strong year, and these results give us a very solid platform for the next stage of our growth story.
“Working closely with Looping Experiences, we have continued to invest in our people, facilities and the overall guest experience, and it’s encouraging to see visitors responding so positively."
As above, Waterworld has invested in enhancing the visitor experience through new digital technology and upgraded F&B facilities.
The park introduced a new website and an enhanced ticketing platform earlier this year, while a speed-of-service system has been added to the on-site restaurant to reduce queue times.
Waterworld upgrades
At the end of October half-term, Waterworld will temporarily close for upgrades to take place across the entire destination. It is expected to reopen early next year.
“There is a real sense of momentum around Waterworld at present," Goodall said.
"We’re confident that the next chapter for Waterworld will not only elevate the visitor experience but also solidify our position as one of the UK’s leading family leisure destinations."
Waterworld Leisure Resort is part of Looping Experiences, which also operates Drayton Manor and West Midlands Safari Park.
