Activate is also opening new stores across the US and Canada

Canadian gaming experience company Activate Games is expanding to the UK and Ireland with 30 new locations.

Founded in 2019 and based in Winnipeg, Activate Games offers an interactive gaming concept at its state-of-the-art facilities.

Activate Games’ venture into the UK and Ireland is in partnership with We Do Play, a group of immersive leisure and hospitality businesses, including Flip Out.

“This expansion marks a significant milestone in Activate’s journey,” said Adam Schmidt, founder and CEO of Activate Games.

Innovative gaming concept

The UK and Ireland have long been on our radar as markets ripe for Activate’s unique blend of interactive gaming and physical activity.

“We are excited to bring our adrenaline-pumping adventures to communities across these regions and provide an unforgettable entertainment experience for players of all ages.”

At Activate Games locations, players can compete in various interactive challenges in an immersive gaming environment.

In addition to its UK and Ireland expansion, Activate is set to open more than 20 new stores across the US and Canada this year, and is taking its innovative gaming concept to the MENA region this autumn.

Over the next five to 10 years, the company plans to establish 70 venues in 10 countries. Currently, Activate Games has 30 locations in the US and Canada.

Richard Beese, co-owner of We Do Play, said: “We are committed to diversifying leisure offerings and providing our guests with innovative entertainment experiences. With the launch of 30 new stores in the UK and Ireland, we are thrilled to introduce Activate to a new audience and create lasting memories for families, friends, and gaming enthusiasts alike.”
