Saudi Entertainment Ventures (Seven) has announced its latest partnership, this time with Formula E to launch indoor karting attractions in the kingdom.
The Formula E venues will be located in four of Seven’s entertainment destinations across Saudi Arabia, in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Abha.
Each family-friendly attraction will offer adult karts, junior karts, and dual karts, as well as 400-metre-long tracks
Abdullah Al-Dawood, chairman of Seven, said the partnership “strategically complements our mission of creating a multiverse of entertainment offerings that cater to the different needs of our future guests”.
Alberto Longo, co-founder and chief championship officer at Formula E, added: “We are thrilled to be working alongside Seven, the entertainment champion in KSA.
“Our objectives and goals align in bringing the excitement of Formula E to the kingdom and taking fans closer to real racing action through the Formula E Karting experience across the Seven destinations.
“I am confident this incredible initiative will accelerate the potential of Saudi Arabia’s promising young drivers and create a future world champion.”
Seven, a subsidiary of Saudi’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), is investing more than SAR 50bn ($13bn) in 21 entertainment destinations in 14 cities across the kingdom.
Entertainment experiences in the kingdom
The new venues will include attractions such as arcade games, rides and virtual reality (VR) areas, bowling, AMC cinemas, and retail and F&B experiences. Some will house Discovery Adventures edutainment attractions and Play-Doh entertainment centres.
In November, Seven unveiled a new Transformers-themed coaster for three of its entertainment destinations in Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah. Developed by amusement ride and coaster company S&S Worldwide, these will be the world’s first Axis coasters.
