Semnox Solutions, a technology provider for the entertainment and amusement industry, successfully launched its first entirely cloud-based solution at Shamsa Entertainment Park, a month-long family event held at the Sharjah Expo Center.
From 31 July, Shamsa Entertainment Park turned the Sharjah Expo Center into a month-long hub for families and visitors of all ages. Organised by XQ United Business Development and Imtiaz Events & Exhibition Management, it attracted thousands of guests who experienced over 100 activities, including rides, attractions, arcades, and interactive play areas, making it a key highlight of the summer holiday season.
As part of the project, Semnox deployed its Pure Cloud Solution for ticketing and entry validation. This fully cloud-based system simplified ticket sales, access control, and cashless payments throughout the venue, providing a smooth guest experience without relying on traditional on-site servers.
Fast, convenient and reliable
“This was the first event of its kind in Sharjah where entire families and groups of friends could spend their leisure time during the summer holidays,” said Meghashyam, sales head (MENA) for parks at Semnox.
“We were given a chance to implement our very first pure cloud cashless solution including POS at the ticketing counters and validators for rides, attractions and arcades. We thank Mr. Ahmad and his team for partnering with Semnox in making this possible.”
Ahmad Al Halabi, CEO of XQ United Business Development and Imtiaz Events & Exhibition Management, says that innovation is essential for creating memorable experiences:
“At Shamsa, our goal was to bring something unique to Sharjah’s summer entertainment calendar. With Semnox’s technology, we ensured that guests enjoyed fast, convenient, and reliable access to all the activities offered at the park.”
Earlier this summer, Semnox Solutions announced that it had grown its international presence by successfully deploying its Parafait venue management system at Ākēdo Arcade, securing its first client in Finland.
