Valo Motion IAAPA Expo Europe 2023

Firm will be at booth B-2301 at IAAPA Expo Europe 2023, with a press announcement on 26 September

Valo Motion, a pioneer in combining interactive technology with physical activities, has revealed that it will be sharing its full product range for the first time at IAAPA Expo Europe 2023.

IAAPA Expo Europe 2023 is the leading event for leisure and attraction professionals in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). It is taking place from 25-28 September in Vienna, Austria at the Messe Wien Exhibition & Congress Center.

Delegates can find Valo Motion at booth B-2301 on the show floor, where the firm will be presenting its ValoClimb, ValoJump, and ValoArena attractions.

The company’s participation at IAAPA Expo Europe 2023 represents a major milestone in Valo Motion’s history. ValoArena, which won the Brass Ring Award at last year’s IAAPA Expo in Orlando, is now achieving an average of over 175,000 plays per day, with more than 1,000 installations in over 65 countries across the globe.

Press announcement

During an official IAAPA press walk on Tuesday, 26 September, from 2.45pm -3.10pm at booth B-2301, Valo Motion will showcase its ambitious vision for the future of active entertainment. Journalists and media professionals are welcome to attend the event which will establish new standards for the sector.

Dr Raine Kajastila, CEO of Valo Motion, comments: “We have always aimed to push the boundaries and create attractions that offer an unparalleled blend of physical activity and gaming. That’s why presenting our complete mixed-reality portfolio at IAAPA Expo Europe this year is a very important moment for us.

“We believe that it’s the perfect opportunity to show operators that we can create full set of active experiences that work as one interconnected ecosystem. By making excellent games for the players, we want to help the operators increase their guest engagement and repeat business at their venues.”

Unique games & functionality

All of Valo Motion’s attractions are built on a system which has been architecturally designed. This unique feature means that each individual product at a location can work as part of a connected whole, via a single cloud operating system.

The firm plans to share all three of its attractions at IAAPA Expo Europe to demonstrate this functionality, which supports Valo Motion’s guiding principle of encouraging active, sociable, and unattended play. Delegates will see for themselves how this complex system of mixed-reality attractions may work together to deliver a comprehensive and varied entertainment experience.

“When it comes to business relationships, we don’t just see ourselves as another vendor,” adds Kajastila. “Instead, we’re committed to being a creative,  reliable, long-term supplier that guarantees the operator’s success.”

Valo Motion attractions save operators money on operating costs because they are totally automated and do not require extra staff, wearables, or cabling. In addition, these award-winning mixed-reality platforms and their games provide a distinct selling feature, distinguishing a venue from competitors. Through interesting and energetic multiplayer activities, all Valo Motion attractions aim to encourage family bonding and social engagement.

In 2023, Valo Motion added four new original games to its catalogue: Astroblade and Operation: Money Grab for ValoArena, Stomp Squad for ValoJump, and Short Circuit for ValoClimb. All four games offer Valo Motion’s signature multiplayer functionality, with each providing a unique experience suitable for a wide range of age groups.

Valo Motion announced the launch of Short Circuit in June. This is the 10th title to be developed for ValoClimb, and enables up to four climbers to work as a team to create electrical circuit graphics on the climbing wall.
