Six Flags is reintroducing park presidents to 10 of its theme parks after eliminating all park president positions at its properties last year.

The Orange County Register reports that park presidents are returning to theme parks including Knott's Berry Farm, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Cedar Point and Six Flags Great Adventure.

The full list of sites with returning park presidents is as follows:

  • Knott’s Berry Farm
  • Six Flags Magic Mountain
  • Cedar Point
  • Kings Island
  • Canada’s Wonderland
  • Six Flags Great America
  • Six Flags Great Adventure
  • Six Flags Over Georgia
  • Six Flags Over Texas
  • Carowinds

"Six Flags is moving to a new operating structure designed to better support the unique needs of each park," said Six Flags officials.

"This change reflects our commitment to being more strategic, flexible and responsive as our business evolves.

"It positions Six Flags to continue growing while staying true to what makes each of our parks special."

Raffi Kaprelyan will return to Knott’s Berry Farm as vice president and park manager after serving as vice president at Carowinds.

Brian Oerding will take on the role of vice president and park manager at Six Flags Magic Mountain after 18 years at Carowinds.

Six Flags moved to a regional operating model in May 2025. Some park presidents remained at Six Flags in different roles, and others were laid off as part of a 10 percent reduction in full-time workers across the company.

This came after the $8 billion merger that combined Six Flags and Cedar Fair into North America’s largest amusement park operator.

“These changes increase accountability at the park level and allow the organization to move faster with fewer layers and less complexity,” Six Flags officials told the Orange County Register.

Earlier this month, Six Flags completed the sale of six US theme parks to new owner EPR Properties as it works to optimise its portfolio.
