greenloop takes place in Earth Week on 19-20 April. Now in it’s second year we’re bringing together sustainability leaders to deliver inspiration and practical advice on how to decarbonise.

greenloop is a unique cross sector event, bringing together professionals from theme parks, zoos, museums, aquariums and more to network, share and learn from each other. Together we can help accelerate the green movement within in our industry.

Early bird rates end at midnight 14 April so don’t miss out. Book now!

A sustainability something for everyone

We’ve tried to create an event that overs a range of interests, backgrounds and expertise. Check out some of our topics and speakers below:

greenloop sustainability in visitor attractions conference
  • Just starting out and need some guidance? – Catch our session with the UN, who will tell us what support is available for organisations starting to measure their carbon footprints. We also have Merlin telling us about getting Board level buy-in for sustainability projects, a carbon literacy toolkit from Manchester Museum, advice for suppliers from PlanetMark, and Good Journey.
  • Theme park professionals – We have Walt Disney Imagineering, Merlin Entertainments, Liseberg, Miral and PortAventura and we’ll be discussing Science Based Targets, implementation, supply chains and getting the Board onboard. We also have a fantastic water park design session from WhiteWater.
  • Museum professionals – We have Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum, The National Gallery, M+ Museum, Manchester Museum, Whitworth and Manchester Art Gallery, Blenheim, Nomad Exhibtions, Buro Happold and Amaala. We’ll be discussing the sustainability implications of new tech, green NFTs, carbon neutral touring exhibitions and thinking about visitor travel.
  • Zoo and Aquarium professionals – We have Zoos Victoria, Chester Zoo, Indianapolis Zoo, New England Aquarium, Eden Project, The Red Sea Development Corporation and Marwell Wildlife. Topics will range from the world’s first carbon neutral zoo to BlueTech incubators, sustainable palm oil cities, New Edens, barefoot luxury tourism and “zoo poo” energy.
  • Suppliers – Find out why you need to measure your carbon footprint ASAP with PlanetMark and Liseberg, and help on how to do it with the UN. There’s also a case study from Nomad Exhibitions.

Don’t just take our word for it

When it comes to solving really big challenges, like how do we build sustainable theme parks, resorts and cruise ships around the world, it takes all of us and all of these different industries coming together.

And that’s what’s great about greenloop … our collaboration is key to really think about how we build sustainable themed entertainment experiences.

Emily Dow, Design Studio Executive with Walt Disney Imagineering

greenloop is a must-attend event, crossing boundaries to bring together really thought-provoking insights and ideas around the way visitor attractions can not only minimise their environmental impact on the planet, but also act as catalysts for positive change.

I cannot think of another event which goes near greenloop as a concentrated dollop of practical green inspiration – a must-attend for several of our team.

Dominic Hare, CEO Blenheim
