Coordinated, choreographed drones are the latest technical innovation set to wow theme park crowds as Disney and intel launch previews of their “Starbright Holidays” show in Orlando
After 5 months of close collaboration, Intel’s new “Shooting Star quadcopter” drones will create the live display and it will be the first time such an experience has been produced and guided by Disney’s Imagineers.
Josh Walden, GM of Intel’s New Technology Group said, “Our drones, together with Disney’s expertise in animation as well as storytelling, and the music score, together make what we think is going to be a groundbreaking form of entertainment.”
Wired details the technology behind the system, which utilises drones that are “simply flying LED delivery systems, capable of creating over four billion color combinations”.
