Falcon’s Beyond unveils BeyondME metaverse platform

Falcon's Beyond BeyondME

Falcon’s Beyond Global, a fully integrated development enterprise for IP-driven parks, resorts, media and merchandise, has announced a new loyalty and online gaming platform which will enable players to connect and be rewarded for engagement across digital and real-life experiences.

The programme, named BeyondME, will be powered by Falcon’s proprietary and patent-pending ÄEONXP technology, which is designed to transform personal experiences with a connected gaming ecosystem that extends engagement and motivates repeat visits.

BeyondME’s virtual currency, called XP, can be earned by participating in an assortment of experiences across Falcon’s Beyond properties and virtual experiences such as online games within the BeyondME web app. XP can also be attained on purchases at Falcon’s physical retail locations and e-commerce store, the latter currently in development.

A co-operative effort

Falcon’s Beyond has teamed up with Estonia-based Ready Player Me, who make it possible to create avatars in virtual worlds. Players will use a selfie to instantly generate their Ready Player Me avatar for use in BeyondME, with the advantage of further personalising their digital likeness with hundreds of clothing, accessories, and hairstyle options. These customisations can be acquired by spending eared XP or purchased directly.

On mobile devices, players can use AR to take selfies and control their avatars’ movements and interactions with real-world environments.

“Leveraging our expertise as experience designers, storytellers, and technologists, BeyondME is an exciting and immersive new way to connect our audiences across our brands and offerings,” says Falcon’s’ president of digital media Jason Ambler. “Each individual’s personal preferences enhance their experiences, making them feel meaningful and tailor-made just for them, whether they’re engaging online or in real life.”

Vacation perks

The BeyondME service will be enabled across the upcoming Falcon’s Beyond Destination | Punta Cana, scheduled to be open by early 2023, which includes the 5-star all-inclusive resort Falcon’s Resort by Meliá | All Suites Punta Cana, and Katmandu Park | Punta Canaa state-of-the-art theme park.

Guests will benefit from BeyondME’s wearable technology which will provide access to profiles, rooms, and passes, as well as performing cashless transactions, and interacting with attractions and experience touchpoints cross-property. Global leaderboards for various BeyondME-enabled activities will be displayed across Falcon’s properties and made available online.

Members of MeliáRewards, the loyalty program operated by Meliá Hotels International can also gain additional opportunities to gain XP through BeyondME.

CEO of Falcon’s, Cecil D. Magpuri says: “We believe BeyondME is the next evolution of experiential entertainment, expanding the metaverse concept from what is traditionally virtual experiences into the real world at our brick-and-mortar destinations. Our guests will be able to interact with rides, attractions, and experiences across our destination properties, and then continue to build on their experiences long after they have returned home.”

Falcon’s Beyond was recently recognised as a Top Workplace in Central Florida, based on independently gathered colleague feedback.
