Scruffy Dog Global Creative Services, a leading attraction experience design and build firm, has announced the launch of its new film and TV division, led by Business Development Director Mark Hackett.
Scruffy Dog is pleased to announce that its new film and TV division opened at the start of 2019. Heading up the new division is Mark Hackett, Business Development Director, who was hired at the same time.
Hackett comes to the role from Pinewood Creative, where he served as 3D and Creative Director. He also spent more than 10 years with Pinewood Studios as their UK Sales Director, so he brings a huge amount of film and TV knowledge with him.
No strangers to TV and film
The company already has links with the film and TV sector as Scruffy Dog founder, Joe Bright, started his career in the film industry.
“I have a personal love of film, having started my career in this sector,” says Bright. “The launch of this division, along with the appointment of Mark, was a natural progression for Scruffy Dog Group. Mark’s track record and contacts in this profession will be vital, as we continue our ambitious plans to grow and develop”.
Despite only being in the role a few months, Hackett has already secured work for film and TV dramas for HBO and Netflix.
“I am delighted to join Scruffy Dog at this exciting time,” says Hackett. “With the film and TV market in the UK booming, this is the perfect time for Scruffy Dog to open its doors to film and TV productions. Scruffy Dog offers an expert team and a world-class facility which support art departments in their design and build for props, sets, and models across all genres.”
The UK based company has been expanding its operations recently, with the appointment of Gareth Smy as creative lead, as well as a revamp of its production facility in the West Midlands.
