The Giant Company, the Irish organisation behind the innovative The Giant visitor attraction, which features the world’s tallest moving statue, has announced that it will host Enterprise Ireland’s reception at this year’s South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin, Texas. The event will take place at Ireland House on Monday 11 March, between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m.
Members of the Department of Foreign Affairs, prominent figures from the IT, music, and film industries, venture capitalists, Enterprise Ireland clients at SXSW, and representatives from other Irish government agencies like Screen Ireland and Music Ireland will be among the attendees.
The Giant Company at SXSW
SXSW is an annual conglomeration of parallel film, interactive media, and music festivals and conferences, organised jointly, that takes place in mid-March in Austin, Texas.
The Irish government’s enterprise development organisation, Enterprise Ireland, has provided grants and other forms of support to The Giant Company in addition to being an equity investor.
Niall McEvoy, manager of the high potential department at Enterprise Ireland, says of the project,

At the core of this innovation is an ambitious team that has a vision for developing landmark attractions in multiple city locations across the globe. We look forward to supporting the next phase of the roll out of this innovation.”
The Giant coming to American Dream
The Giant Company announced in January 2024 that the first-ever Giant visitor attraction in the world would be built at American Dream in New Jersey.
The second-biggest mall in the United States, American Dream is renowned for its distinctive fusion of dining, shopping, and entertainment opportunities. With a dizzying height of 16.5 metres (54 feet / five stories), The Giant at American Dream will feature the world’s tallest moving statue, an immersive experience, and a custom scanning system that allows visitors to be scanned and instantly displayed on the Giant statue, creating the ultimate selfie.
The Giant boasts several additional cutting-edge inventions and innovative technologies in addition to its proprietary scanning techniques.
The Giant Company is currently negotiating with developers and property owners in cities worldwide, including Las Vegas, Chicago, Seoul, Riyadh, etc.
Last year, The Giant Company launched The Giant Experience at Central Plaza in Dublin. The immersive attraction opened on Wednesday 20 September and was on display for four months.
