News
Zero Latency 10th birthday

Players have slain over 460 million zombies so far in its free-roam VR experience

Zero Latency, a global leader in VR entertainment, is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a worldwide party and a 20% birthday discount for players.

The company began in a solitary warehouse in the side streets of Melbourne, Australia. Now, its advanced technology can be found in prestigious spaces on every continent.

What started in 2015 with a headset and a bold idea has grown into a global phenomenon in free-roam VR. Zero Latency has revolutionised the concept of social, immersive experiences in just a decade, providing more than 5 million exhilarating virtual reality experiences and expanding to more than 120 fully functional locations, with more than 150 venues open or in development across 30 countries.

Tim Ruse, CEO of Zero Latency, says: “Our players are the reason we’ve hit this incredible milestone.

“From battling zombies to navigating alien worlds, every adventure has been driven by our passion for redefining reality. We always knew that wireless, fully immersive experiences were the future. The feeling of exploring fantastical worlds as if they’re real life is just so thrilling.

“We were determined to build the system and prove that it was possible, and through a lot of grit, ingenuity, and a stellar global team, we’ve connected people in some truly memorable ways. There’s still so much more to be excited about in the years to come.”

20% off

In celebration of this milestone, Zero Latency is offering a limited-time global birthday deal with 20% off all VR experiences and gift vouchers with the code BIRTHDAY20. The discount is valid from 13 to 30 June.

Players are invited to gather their friends and join the worldwide party, whether exploring the far reaches of Space Marine VR: Defenders of Avarax, finding the cure for a zombie Outbreak, or fighting their way through the pirate islands of Far Cry VR.

Over the last decade, players have slain 460 million zombies and unleashed their inner leaders, explorers, survivors, competitors, and strategists in the most immersive, adrenaline-pumping, untethered VR experiences ever made.

Recently, Zero Latency announced that its free-roam virtual reality experience is launching in Morocco, Africa. With this expansion, it will have a presence on every continent, with locations in 30 countries across the world.
