Hetherington founded Holovis in 2004. Based in the East Midlands, close to the UK’s car manufacturing industry, the electronic engineering graduate began his career working on simulation and visualisation for the Motor Industry Research Association.
Early experiments with virtual reality (VR) paved the way for Holovis‘ diversification into the attractions industry. Today its services include VR modelling of rollercoasters and augmented reality (AR) apps through to the creation of bespoke multimedia shows and attraction experiences.
Under Hetherington’s leadership, the company’s has entered a period of strategic growth that has seen it work with some of the leading theme park and attraction operators from around the world. And now, with fresh backing from Hong Kong’s Road King Investment, it is actively targeting Asia.
