Klainer joined SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment in 2018, overseeing the creative direction of SeaWorld Abu Dhabi.
Located on Yas Island, the new park in Abu Dhabi is the first SeaWorld to be built without killer whales. After some difficulties in recent years at its domestic marine parks, SeaWorld is now forging ahead with new attractions including roller coasters. Yet with each new creative concept, it always strives to integrate a strong sea life component. The company’s US portfolio also includes two Sesame Place locations and two Busch Gardens parks.
Vice president of the international board at the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), Klainer also founded the lighting designer Luce Group.
