Alterface Projects, a leading manufacturer of interactive and media-based attractions, and animation and media experts Pure Imagination Studios are to team up to create a ground breaking new interactive, media-based attraction.
The attraction, planned to open in the Middle East at the end of 2015, will feature a new interface for interactive dark rides, offering the most sophisticated, real-time experiences possible today in location-based entertainment.
Commenting on the announcement made at IAAPA 2015, Benoit Cornet, CEO Alterface Projects, said, “Interactive systems and media content have quickly become the perfect match to deliver memorable experiences to theme parks. Thanks to their proprietary methodology to use real time gaming engines, Pure Imagination has proven countless times their immense talent to turn a great idea into a fantastic experience that takes visitors beyond the media.”
Alterface Projects and Pure Imagination Studios have a track record of working together to deliver worldclass attractions including the interactive dark ride JUSTICE LEAGUE: Battle for Metropolis (design by Sally Corp), and Dragons Wild Shooting, Lotte World (design by The Hettema Group).
“Interactive, media-based attractions are much like giant, story driven immersive video games, ” said Joshua Wexler, Chief Executive of Fun at Pure Imagination Studios. “The R&D department at Alterface Projects was truly innovative to help us execute our vision, as proved by their Salto show and game control system which is used on many attractions. The trust in our companies demonstrated by multiple intellectual property owners is especially exciting to our teams and perhaps the most rewarding recognition of all.”
