BoldMove Nation to showcase dark ride innovations and more at IAAPA Expo Europe

News
Too Mush Smash & Reload

BoldMove Nation, the new vendor-independent service for the entertainment market, will be attending IAAPA Expo Europe in Barcelona from 28 – 30 September. Along with its expert team, the company will be demonstrating its design services and product portfolio at the trade show, with booth partners Polymorph, Chauvet Professional, Mediatoon Licensing and AdventureLAB. Plus, author Klaus Sommer Paulsen will be presenting his new book on the booth, in a meet and greet session, held every day at 2.45 pm.

“With our Smash & Reload family we bring the dark ride back to its very essence: a fun visitor experience, uncompromised and unconditional,” says Benoit Cornet, CEO of BoldMove Nation, who based the concept design on twenty years of interactive and awarded dark ride expertise.

BoldMove Smash and Reload

Smash & Reload

Smash & Reload provides fun for the whole family, with younger players enjoying aiming at targets during the colourful experience and more advanced players battling to gain higher and higher scores. The ride is smooth, with an engaging and easy to understand storyline and well-hidden show control. It is also ideal for venues looking for a high throughput attraction with a smaller footprint.

“Smash & Reload is smart in technology and in gameplay, it can stand alone as an eye-catching ride and can also be integrated in a themed area. The fancy light and impressive sound technology will draw the attention from outside spectators, feeling the vibes and thrills from a distance. We are pleased to work closely with two key expert partners, Triotech for show control and ride system, and Polymorph for media production and gameplay. Both will also be supporting us at IAAPA Expo,” adds Cornet.

BoldMove will be showing the ride dynamics on its booth in a miniature 3D-version and will also present the latest design of its TooMush IP. In addition, attendees will be able to discover its portfolio of products and transmedia experiences, based on its expertise in dark rides, media content, IP, integrated storytelling, operations strategy and more.

The team will also present Houba City and Houba World, indoor park solutions that include a mix of themed, immersive attractions, featuring the Marsupilami IP. The concept plan is designed at 1500 square meters and comprises 12 media-based attractions, but is fully scalable to fit smaller or larger spaces, and attractions can be swapped out in the future to keep things fresh. Mediatoon Licensing will be present at the BoldMove booth too, with a little ‘Marsu Shop’ of merchandising samples.

Finally, BoldMove will be highlighting its new “phygital” attraction, AR Hybrid Quest, which is a combination of in-person activities, taking place in parks, shopping malls and more, and digital actions, on the internet and social networks. The mixed-reality game is designed to be a new way of discovering an attraction, an interactive treasure hunt that helps to build loyalty and control visitor flow.

AR Hybrid Quest only uses the guests’ own smartphone, so is a simple, easy to implement solution. As well as the Marsupilami and TooMush IP, operators can also opt for a wild west or dino theme, or even choose a custom or seasonal option.
