Investment is part of a new development plan for Camel Creek

The Camel Creek theme park in Wadebridge, Cornwall has been granted planning permission for three new attractions.

Opening this Easter, the new attractions include a 9-hole adventure golf course, nearly 7,000 square feet of space for adventure play, and an additional indoor play area and café. They are inspired by Cornwall’s famous myths and legends.

The new golf course, called Shipwreck Shores, is themed to Cornwall’s maritime history, while Merlin’s Magical Playground is a wood-based outdoor play area with turrets, drawbridges and slides. The indoor play area and café is called the Hidden Garden.

“These new attractions are part of an entire park upgrade. We can’t wait to welcome back members, Cornwall families and holidaymakers when we open at Easter,” said Graham Hayes, general manager of Camel Creek.

The investment into new attractions is part of a new development plan for Camel Creek, which closed in October for a winter refurbishment project. This came after administrators were called in over the summer.

Financial advisory firm Kroll ran Camel Creek throughout the summer, and worked with the park’s leadership team to secure its long-term future and further investment.

Camel Creek to reopen this Easter

Camel Creek has been open to the public since 1989. The park covers more than 111 acres and includes more than 40 rides and attractions.

In more UK news, Alton Towers has announced an opening date for Nemesis Reborn after an extensive transformation of the iconic roller coaster.

To promote the launch, the park shared images of a giant, glowing alien eye in Staffordshire’s so-called Cannock Chase UFO hotspot.
