Casino Pier in Seaside Heights, NJ has announced new rides for the lower deck of the Pier for 2014.
Casino Pier was devasted by Superstorm Sandy in 2012 which caused an estimated $53 billion of damage to the Eastern Seaboard of the US.
The first phase of a longer term rebuilding project at Casino Pier opened on Memorial Day Weekend 2013, with JRA (Jack Rouse Associates) acting as master planners for the project. (See Making Magic Happen: Rebuilding Casino Pier After Hurricane Sandy)
The Air Race
Zamperla’s Air Race is a brand new ride at Seaside Heights. Riders sit in one of the eight themed airplanes as they revolve around a central hub, each airplane independently swinging upside down at accelerations approaching 3G’s.
The Jump Around
A beach buggy themed ride for younger children, the Jump Around, also manufactured by Zamperla, is a circular ride in which the beach buggies bounce up and down while racing around in a circle.
The Musik Express
The Musik Express manufactured by Bertazzon 3B, takes 60 riders in 20 cars in a circular train up, down, through a tunnel and backwards, on a ride featuring music, lighting effects, sirens and fog machines.
