A planning application has been made for Dreamport Villages - a new $4 billion theme park and water park resort near Casa Grande.
Florida based Block Sports Companywants to develop a 1,500-acrearea near Casa Grande to create a destination resort with a wide range of amenities including an extreme sports park, indoor entertainment, a theme park and water park, a resort hotel, a wildlife animal exhibitand restaurants and an amusement park, as well as acommercial and residential area.The application says of the ambitious project:“We believe we are at the same point today in Casa Grande as was Orlando 50 years ago when Walt Disney envisioned Disney World."
The Casa Grande Planning and Zoning Commission will review the project on March 2.
