Dynamic Attractions, a leading creator of cutting-edge theme park rides, has provided the world’s first Dynamic Motion Theater to Futuroscope in France, where it opened in July under the name Chasseurs de Tornades (Tornado Chasers).
Speaking about the opening, Guy Nelson, CEO of Dynamic Attractions and Dynamic Technologies Group, says: “Futuroscope dares to boldly redefine fun with thrilling, imaginative adventures. Tornado Chasers is a blast. All of us at Dynamic congratulate Futuroscope on this marvellous feat, which will woo fun-goers of all ages.”
Visitors are at the heart of the action, surrounded by a 470-square meter circular screen showing live-action scenes, LED projections, and special effects. Thanks to the Dynamic Motion Theater, they also experience motion as the circular platform that goes up, down, tilts and turns.
Award-winning ride concept
The Dynamic Motion Theater was announced as the ‘Best New Product Concept’ at IAAPA Expo 2016 in Orlando, Florida.
“Dynamic Attraction has once again supplied a ‘world’s first’ to Futuroscope,” says Rodolphe Bouin, directeur général of Futuroscope. “Tornado Chasers is an adventure unlike any other, with thrilling storytelling and cutting edge technology.” He also praised the company for supplying two of Futuroscope’s latest rides.
“The Dynamic Motion Theater puts a whole new spin on an immersive attraction,” adds Nelson. “We’ve pioneered new technology to create an experience that has been, until now, impossible. Ride fans need to storm to Futuroscope and experience this great new adventure.”
Dynamic Attractions has worked with clients including Disney and Universal, and designs, engineers, and constructs high-tech rides for theme parks as part of the Dynamic Technologies Group. It has provided several of the world’s top amusement park rides to leading operators in China, France, Japan, UAE, and the US alongside other locations around the world.
Earlier this year, sister company Dynamic Entertainments officially acquired 50% ownership of ‘SkyFly: Soar America’, a steampunk-themed flight experience, and the firm revealed it is actively seeking new investments in the tourist attraction sector.
