Dynamic Attractions, a leading creator of cutting-edge theme park rides, has revealed it is actively seeking new investments in the tourist attraction sector.

The ride manufacturer, which has worked with clients including Disney and Universal, says that following its progression to also becoming a ride owner, it is searching for future co-ownership opportunities.

Yesterday, sister company Dynamic Entertainments officially acquired 50% ownership of ‘SkyFly: Soar America’, a steampunk-themed flight experience, after announcing its intention last month.

Dynamic built SkyFly during the pandemic at The Island in Pigeon Forge. The attraction was recently named by USA Today newspaper as the ‘Best New Attraction in America’.

In a move that the firm has described as a “pandemic pivot”, Dynamic plans to co-own popular attractions at a number of major tourist destinations. The company will “purchase” its share by providing attraction development, the ride, and IP value, with the destination owners providing the location and site management expertise.

Guy Nelson, CEO says “This is a very important milestone and strategic pivot for Dynamic. It has demonstrated its ability to combine its ride IP with its in-house, creative show team, turning a world-class ride system into an unforgettable attraction experience, co-owned with its local partner.”

The tech company has worked on many of the world’s top amusement park rides, providing cutting-edge rides that they have installed in China, France, Japan, UAE, and the US alongside other locations around the world.

Dynamic Attractions designs, engineers, and constructs high-tech rides for theme parks as part of the Dynamic Technologies Group, which is composed of several firms.

Other business arms include Dynamic Entertainment, which leverages the firm’s attraction developments on a co-venture ownership basis, and Dynamic Structures, which applies the company’s engineering expertise on projects in diversified industries, for example, alternative energy and extensive optical telescopes.

Last year, Dynamic Attractions announced its new president and COO, Jerry Pierson, with over 25 years of experience in the attractions industry.
