ESF Targets Attractions with New Solar-Powered Smart Street Furniture

News

Environmental Street Furniture Ltd. has announced 3 new solar-integrated site furnishing products including a 'smart' bench with wired and wireless charging capabilities for mobile phones.

ESF Targets Attractions with New Solar-Powered Smart Street FurnitureThe Senergy bench has won royal approval and will shortly be installed on Royal Estates throughout the UK.

Launched in conjunction with Serbian solar-energy specialist, Milos Milijoic, the bench can ‘talk’ to a user’s mobile via an app to help them locate the bench itself, provide weather updates at the location and provide a call function for either information or police (depending on location).

“With so much of our lives now dependent on our mobile devices, it is essential that charging facilities are available in as many places as possible, ” says Environmental Street Furniture. “Coupled with the fact that most attraction WIFI providers want to engage with visitors for tracking and usage purposes, we used the advances in technology to allow this to happen.”

ESF Targets Attractions with New Solar-Powered Smart Street FurnitureSolar-powered mobile-charging station, Street Charge, is more easily transported and thus well-suited to sponsorship opportunities for brand awareness and advertising. ESF says the units, capable of charging 6 devices at any one time, are ideal for short term use, such as festivals, outdoor sporting events and markets. The unit is even operational at night thanks to the stored energy created during the day.

Sponsored units have been successfully deployed at Yas Island Formula One track in Abu Dhabi, Universal Studios in Orlando and the 2015 Irish Open Golf in Royal Co. Down.

The ESF Street Tidy recycling litter bin, developed in conjunction with Queens University in Belfast, has illuminated litter/recycling apertures as well as illuminated sides offering sponsorship opportunities. According to the company, the Street Tidy bins are currently on test in London as well as in Disney Orlando parks following a presentation there last November.
