Fantawild FT Wild Theme Park Opening

It is the first Asian park by the company to be based on animation and sci-fi themes

Fantawild Holdings, a leading one-stop solution provider in the theme park industry, has opened its latest site in the Chinese city of Taizhou. A grand ceremony was held on 9th July 2022 to celebrate the occasion with guests.

Developed in association with the local government of Taizhou, the new park is the result of over 3 billion CNY of investment. Covering in excess of 400,000 square meters, Fantawild anticipates it will attract more than 3 million visitors each year.

A representative says: “The new park is expected to become a popular tourist spot not only in Taizhou, but for Zhejiang Province. With distinct themes, unique experiences and high-quality services, this park will boost the development of the local tourism and entertainment industry.”

Fantawild Animation Town

FT・Wild Land provides guests with a one-stop destination packed with themed attractions, entertainment, and dining – featuring well-known animations for the Chinese market including Fantawild’s own IPs Boonie Bears and Realm of Terracotta, alongside French animation Miraculous Ladybug.

Utilising state-of-the-art technologies including AR, VR and spherical screens, the park features ten indoor attractions and over thirty outdoor attractions, welcoming visitors into a unique environment with hundreds of landscape designs.

Themed zones

Inspired by the Miraculous Ladybug animated series, Animation Town comprises European-style streets, with a majestic French palace and boutique stores, providing a fresh take on the fashionable city of Paris. Dominated by a pink palette, the Romantic Estate again leans on European architecture, with a candy-coloured pink pirate ship and Ferris wheel.

The Realm of Terracotta zone brings ancient China to the fore with two giant terracotta warriors standing at the gate of the area, where visitors can also enjoy a traditional-style market. Home to the Boonie Bears, visitors can meet their favourite characters from the popular animated series, with attractions based on their adventures.

“Visitors thronged into the park on the day of opening. There were especially long queues for the Boonie Bears-themed attractions. The indoor rafting ride Forest Drifting was equally popular as visitors were amazed by classic scenes and characters from the Boonie Bears series, including dreamlike butterflies, ancient tribes, pandas and Pine Tree Mountain itself.

“Boonie Cubs World is a playground which was favoured by parents and their young kids. With more than 30 interactive facilities for children to play with, it sure was a paradise for children.”

Positive feedback

Vekoma Rides supplied one of the anchor attractions, Invincible Warriors, a white-knuckle roller coaster reaching a top speed of 88 km per hour. A milder coaster has also been supplied for the park, Pine Tree Rocket. Suitable for the whole family, Floating Manor, is an attraction designed for the summer season, where visitors can scream their way through the twisting, wet rapids.

Fantawild’s To the Sky, which can be found at a number of its other parks, has proven particularly popular. The show combines panoramic scenes with excellent live performances, resulting in an ode to the harmony of man and nature.

In the huge-screen 3D theatre, The Origin of Life showcases the development of nature from the start of evolution to modern wildlife habitats in a giant 3D screen theatre, exploring the beauty of life and its splendour.

The park is already receiving positive feedback from its visitors:

“One guest, Mr Guo, lavished his praises after experiencing the attractions. He commented that the park was a feast for the eyes and ears, adding that kids could even learn something while having fun.”

Fantawild has recently opened a number of projects including the Xiamen Holiday Hotel in China.
