IAAPA's Europe Spring Forum was a great success and was held in Istanbul, Turkey, also the home town of leading waterpark company Polin Waterparks.
The sold-out forum allowed guests a behind-the-scenes look at operations at two local attractions, Vialand and KidZania.
Attendees also heard about trends and upcoming projects in the emerging markets of Turkey and Poland. In the evening guests were treated to a dinner cruise with live music and a magnificent view of Istanbul.
There was also a tour of Polin Waterpark's manufacturing plant. Ms. Sohret Pakis, Director of Marketing & Communications, gave a presentation about her company during which she highlighted recent trends in waterslide design and technology. Polin's Technical Director, Mr. Ozkan Sur then led the tour of the facility. Guests then flew to Antalya to start the next part of the trip, accompanied by Polin's Director of Sales and Design, Dr. Kubilay Alpdogan.
In Antalya there was a visit to the five-star Crystal Waterworld Resort & Spa where the hosts were Mr. Suleyman Kilit and Mr. Tolga Kilit of the Kilit Group. Guests had an opportunity to check out the park's slides – including Polin's award-winning King Cobra waterslide.
Next stop was Crystal Aura, another five-star resort owned by the Kilit Group in nearby Kemer. Guests were welcomed with lunch at the facility's seaside restaurant, allowing them a superb view of the resort's Polin's waterslides. The advantages of Polin's RTM manufacturing process were evident as the waterslides (including the Sphere) sparkled under the Mediterrarean sun. The kind hosts at Crystal Aura were Mr. Ali Zengin, Mr. Umut Uysal and Mr. Ersin Ozdemir.
The final waterpark visited was at Rixos Premium Tekirova, another popular holiday resort. This visit afforded guests the opportunity to experience some of Polin's ground-breaking rides, including the company's first Surf Safari, a Looping Rocket, Spheres and a huge water-play structure. The host at Rixos Premium Tekirova was Mr. Ahmet Colakoglu.
