Jack Rouse Associates (JRA) is celebrating a highly successful 2015 creating exceptional visitor experiences for clients across the globe.
Described by the Wall Street Journal as ‘one of the world’s more prominent design firms’, JRA is set to be equally busy in 2016 with a raft of upcoming projects including the Children’s Museum of Siouxland, “The King Abdullah Memorial Initiative” and the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum.
Highlights this year include the Angry Birds Activity Park created in collaboration with Rovio and FORTGROUP, which opened in St Petersburg in May. In June, the company was asked to provide initial concepts for the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America which is being relocated to Daytona International Speedway.
October saw the opening of another JRA project, the Jim Beam Urban Stillhouse in Louisville, Kentucky, a tourist destination housing a small working distillery, a bottling line, a tasting experience and a retail shop.
In the United Arab Emirates, the company is providing master planning and preliminary concept design for Sharjah Waterfront City’s Crystal Lagoon Water Theme Park.
Most recently, JRA has won an international competition to provide initial planning and conceptual work for the new Science Centre Singapore project, slated to open next to Singapore’s Jurong Lake in 2020.
