After teasing the first details about its upcoming attraction, Jurassic World – The Ride, Universal Studios Hollywood is preparing for its arrival this summer.

In a new TV spot, Jurassic World’s iconic Tyrannosaurus rex and Mosasaurus are seen invading Universal Studios’ movie studio backlot, sending cast and crew running for their lives.

Watch the ‘It Just Got Real’ TV spot below:

Jurassic World—The Ride will debut an original storyline that takes place within the Universal Studios theme park on the day the Indominus rex escapes, as depicted in the film.

The thrill ride adds several iconic dinosaurs from the movie, including the aquatic Mosasaurus in her natural habitat, seen within an Aquarium Observatory tank.

The innovative new ride will fuse groundbreaking technology and special effects with new dinosaurs from the Jurassic World film, replacing the ageing Jurassic Park – The Ride.

"Jurassic World--The Ride" opens this summer at Universal Studios Hollywood (2019)

The aesthetics of Jurassic World – The Ride will be dramatically enhanced, welcoming guests to a reimagined space, with a new entry statement, stonework landscaping and a contemporary redesign of the iconic pillars.

Engaging queue-line videos featuring facts and information about the dinosaurs within the ride will set the tone for the adventure ahead, as guests learn about prehistoric beasts before boarding.

Raptor Encounter and Dino Play

Located adjacent to the ride will be a new Raptor Encounter where Blue, the beloved and deadly Velociraptor from the Jurassic World franchise, and her beta Raptors will engage guests in face-to-face encounters.

A new interactive Dino Play area will incorporate educational components within an inspired space where children of all ages can partake in excavations and investigate giant dinosaur fossils.

This year, major new attractions are opening at theme parks across the world – but which are game changers and which will make the most impact? Check out some of the hottest new rides.
