Kevin Smith, a long-standing industry operator, has recently joined Planning Solutions Ltd. as chief executive officer, moving away from his consultancy practice Halo 2020.
Planning Solutions Ltd. operates and manages several venues across the UK.
This includes Conkers in the National Forest, Kent Life in Maidstone, Cotswold Country Park and Beach in Cirencester, Springfield Adventureland in Lincolnshire, Vertigo Adventures High and Low Ropes in Leicestershire, Hertfordshire and the West Midlands, The Royal Esplanade Hotel on the Isle of White, and The Burton Bridge Inn, Burton Bridge and Heritage Brewing Companies in Burton Upon Trent.
An experienced industry leader
Smith has more than 35 years of experience developing and operating businesses across cultural attractions, hospitality, and leisure.
During his career, he has opened and operated numerous attractions including Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth, York’s Chocolate Story in York, The Real Mary Kings Close in Edinburgh, Coronation Street The Tour in Manchester and Star Wars Secrets of the Empire in London. He is also a previous contributor to blooloop.
He joins Planning Solutions to lead the firm’s commercial development and seek new opportunities.

Stickland will be stepping away from his day-to-day role to take up the post of executive chairman.
