Merlin Entertainments has confirmed that construction will begin on a new LEGOLAND theme park in Shanghai.
This will be China's first outdoor LEGOLAND park. Shanghai is already home to an indoor LEGO Discovery Centre.The park will be located in the Dianshan Lake area in Qingpu District.
According to Merlin, the project is expected to launch within three years. Completion is scheduled for 2022.
Yang Shengjun, Channel Marketing Director of Merlin Entertainments China, said the park wouldprovide 'a very fun experience'.
