This year's Universal Halloween Horror Nights has added a new haunted house based on Clive Barker's 1987 film Hellraiser, featuring scenes and characters from the original film as well as the next two instalments in the original trilogy.

For the first time at Halloween Horror Nights, guests can experience the terrifying Hellraiser franchise in haunted houses on both coasts at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood.

Per a press release, the new attraction will "transport fans into the twisted world first brought to life by Clive Barker, where desire, suffering and the unknown collide".

The haunted house will take inspiration from the first three films in the franchise, including Hellraiser, Hellbound: Hellraiser II and Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth.

Legendary Pinhead actor Doug Bradley will lend his voice to both haunted houses in Hollywood and Orlando, reprising his iconic role.

Fans of the film will enter the iconic Lament Configuration puzzle box, where they will summon the Cenobites and open "a gateway to a diabolical dimension where unspeakable horrors await".

Guests will encounter iconic scenes and locations from the Hellraiser films, including the attic in Frank Cotton's family home where he was first sent to Hell, and the Channard Institute, where the mysterious puzzle box tempts those seeking forbidden pleasures.

The journey ends in The Labyrinth, where Pinhead and the Cenobites lie in wait for new souls to torment for eternity.

In more news, Ryan Coogler’s 2025 supernatural horror movie Sinners is being transformed into a new haunted house at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando for Halloween Horror Nights.

Stranger Things' fifth and final season will also become a haunted house at both theme parks, developed in partnership with Netflix.

Halloween Horror Nights begins on 28 August at Universal Orlando and on 3 September at Universal Studios Hollywood.
