Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai Onsaid on Wednesday that a theme park is needed inMacau to boost family tourism.
Macau News reports thatChui made the remarks a day after he delivered his 2017 Policy Address in which he statedthat thegovernment will encourage the constructionof budget hotels, a theme park and shoppingcentres, in a bid to develop the city into a hub for tourism and leisure.Chui said on Wednesdaythat a theme park wasneeded in the city, because it would diversifytourism and attract more families.
