The Potions Cauldron Group, a UK-based magical drinks company, has partnered with Disney Cruise Line for the new Haunted Mansion Parlor on the Disney Treasure.

The first-ever Haunted Mansion-themed bar debuted on the new Disney Treasure cruise ship on 21 December.

The parlor is a themed experience inspired by the original Haunted Mansion attraction at Disney parks, as well as a first-class drawing room on a classic cruise liner from the golden age.

Amid a growing trend for immersive F&B, each drink by the Potions Cauldron Group has a storyline and contains magical ingredients that are activated by performing a spell.

Ben Fry, chief enchantment officer and co-founder of the Potions Cauldron Group, said the partnership with Disney Cruise Line “is something we are very proud of”.

For the Haunted Mansion Parlor, the company has created these beverages: Creepy Crawly Cola, Screaming Soda, Grim Grinning Grape and Sour Shivers.

Benjamin Van Curen, beverage operations manager at Disney Cruise Line, said: “We call them Madame Leota’s special spell potions and they are to die for.”

Daniel Joseph, executive illusions and effects development at Walt Disney Imagineering, recently spoke to blooloop about the Disney Treasure’s new themed bar.

“Just like the land-based attractions, the parlor has tons of hidden things in it,” he said. “Other things actually activate. There’s a magical music box that comes to life, there are props and elements all around that reveal hidden tributes and messages.”

The Potions Cauldron Group‘s range of magical refreshments are available in the company’s own retail outlets and wizard golf venues across the north of the UK, in locations such as York, Edinburgh and Blackpool.

Phil Pinder, director of wizardry and co-founder of the Potions Cauldron Group, said “the Disney partnership is the perfect way to round off a magical year of growth”.
