Global theme park attractions company, Premier Rides, in partnership with Linnanmäki Adventure Park and the Plopsa Group, has won two European Star Awards (ESA) for “Vonkaputous” in Helsinki and “Sky Scream” at Holiday Park in Hassloch, Germany.
The rides were recognised in the “Best Water Rides” and “Best Roller Coasters” categories respectively.
Sponsored by the independent trade journal, Kirmes Park & Revue, the ESA awards celebrate entrepreneurship, courage and innovation within the European theme park industry.
Speaking of Linnanmäki, Premier Rides’ President, Jim Seay, said his company was honoured to be part of their ‘formula for success’:
“Linnanmäki is a very special amusement park that uses amazing creativity to take advantage of its unique topography. Vonkaputous, with its combination of a fun coaster and great water interaction is a perfect example of their creativity and vision.”

Sky Scream, a zombie-themed launch coaster, has proved a huge draw at Holiday Park Germany, attracting record visitor numbers. This is the third year running that the ride has netted an ESA award.

Seay said the company provided a ‘first-class theme park experience’.
