Ripley Entertainment Buys Universal Blvd. Property for $23m

Ripley Entertainment has paid $23 million for a property on Universal Blvd. reports the Orlando Sentinel.

The 23.2 acre plot is in the prime tourist area along Universal Boulevard north the intersection with Convention Way, near the Orange County Convention Center.

The property has been marketed as an ideal site for a new convention hotel and is close to a 475 acre plot bought last year by an affiliate of Universal Orlando Resort. A pedestrian overpass of Universal Boulevard is planned nearby.
