Sanderson Group, an international thematic entertainment design and construction corporation, is to design and build a 500, 000 sq. ft. Theme Park & Water Park in the Hatten Group’s Harbour City development in Pulau Melaka, Malaysia.
Peter Sanderson, the Director of Business Development for Sanderson Group signed an MoU with Edwin Tan, Group CEO of Hatten Group and Colin Tan, Group MD of Hatten Group at Harbour City’s ground breaking event on January 17th 2015.
The RM800 million 1 million sq. ft Harbour City development, set for completion in early 2019, includes a 6 storey shopping complex with over 800 retail stores, three 5 star hotels (a 780 room cruise liner themed hotel, a 500 room resort and spa and a 250room International Chain hotel) and an indoor and outdoor theme park and water park.
Inspired by Melaka’s maritime history, the development’s signature building resembles a ship with an ocean themed interior.
Plans for the theme park include the Ocean Kingdom Indoor & Outdoor Water Theme Park, Sky Deck Theme Park, Extreme Theme Park and Man-made Sky Beach.
