Six Flags Announce New Thrill Rides: Hybrid Technology and Interactive Attractions

Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, the world's largest regional theme park company, have announced new attractions for 2015 including interactive dark rides and world-record-breaking thrill rides.

Commenting on the announcement, Jim Reid-Anderson, Six Flags Chairman, President and CEO, said, “Innovation is part of our DNA and we look forward to introducing another exhilarating roster of rides and attractions for our guests in every park next season.  News in every park has driven all-time-high guest satisfaction and record financial results over the last four years, and we are excited to build on our strong momentum."

Highlights include:

Twisted Colossus at Six Flags Magic Mountain:

A world-record-breaking hybrid coaster featuring a four-minute journey through nearly 5, 000 feet of track and two lift hills as well as a "Top Gun" and "High Five" elements and a Zero G Roll.

Wicked Cyclone at Six Flags New England:

Wicked Cyclone at Six Flags New England

A state-of-the-art hybrid roller coaster that combines the extreme characteristics of steel and wood. Wicked Cyclone's comprises 3, 320 feet of track, is 10 stories high and reaches speeds of up to 55 mph.

JUSTICE LEAGUE: BATTLE FOR METROPOLIS at Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags St. Louis:  

JUSTICE LEAGUE: BATTLE FOR METROPOLIS at Six Flags Over Texas

In partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DC Entertainment JUSTICE LEAGUE: BATTLE FOR METROPOLIS is a 3D interactive dark ride attraction featuring SUPERMAN, BATMAN, WONDER WOMAN and GREEN LANTERN battling against Lex Luthor and The Joker.

BATMAN™: The Ride at Six Flags Fiesta Texas: 

4D Wing Coaster which begins with a 120-foot elevator-type lift and includes two beyond-vertical free falls as well as six head-over-heels spins along the twisting track frame.  

Looping Dragon at Six Flags Great Adventure:

A pendulum-style thrill ride with gut-wrenching loops and maximum "hang" time.  The park is also expanding its Fright Fest® Halloween festival in 2015 with two new indoor mazes.

THE JOKER Chaos Coaster and Harley Quinn Spinsanity at Six Flags Over Georgia:  

THE JOKER Chaos Coaster takes guests up seven stories in loops in all directions whilst Harley Quinn Spinsanity spins, twists and rolls. 

Dive Bomber at Six Flags White Water:  

A water slide with a trap door start sending guests plummeting down more than 100 feet at nearly 90 degrees for a zero-gravity experience.  

Six Flags Great America:

Six Flags Great America celebrates 40 Seasons of Thrills by upgrading the Carousel Plaza and Hometown Square with family rides.

Six Flags Great Escape:  

Renovated pirate themed Buccaneer Beach children's area in Splashwater Kingdom with  children's slides and interactive water elements. 

Bourbon Street Fireball at Six Flags America:  

A looping coaster with a train for 24 riders seated in unique forward and backward, face-to-face positions.  The train swings pendulum style to a completely suspended position at the top, then loops into a series of 360⁰ revolutions and reverses direction.

SkyScreamer at Six Flags Mexico:  

A spinning attraction 242 feet in the air with guests revolving in a 98-foot circle at speeds of 35 mph for a full two minutes. 

Maison Rouge – Labyrinth of Fear at La Ronde:  

An all year-round haunted attraction. 

Dare Devil Chaos Coaster at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom:  

A single looping coaster with riders seated back to back.

In addition, all Six Flags parks will have a Fright Fest® and Holiday in the Park® will be extended to Six Flags Magic Mountain and Six Flags Over Georgia.
