Netherlands-based consultancy firm TDAC has announced Scott Ault as senior consultant. He has more than 35 years’ experience in the location-based entertainment (LBE) industry.

Ault has worked with Walt Disney Imagineering, 20th Century Studios, Sony, DreamWorks, Marvel Entertainment, Lionsgate, BBC Worldwide, Aardman, and Nickelodeon.

He started his career at Walt Disney Imagineering, serving as the company’s youngest-ever show producer at the time. After that, he joined BRC Imagination Arts and eventually became COO.

“As a truly European company we welcome Scott back in Europe and are proud that he accepted our invitation to join the team,” TDAC said in a statement. “As more and more of our clients enter the production phase of their projects, Scott’s experience as a creative producer will be of great value as a sparring partner for executive decisions.”

TDAC added, “Scott is a great addition to our current team of executive consultants in the leisure industry, all with more than 25 years of experience.”

TDAC is made up of senior consultants with different executive backgrounds to advise operators, investors and governments in leisure development and operations.

It was founded by former Efteling COO Coen Bertens, and former BRC Imagination Arts executive Bart Dohmen.

The company has a growing portfolio of clients, and offers services including client representation, tourism and attraction planning, feasibility studies, business cases, operational reviews, and planning.

Dohmen recently wrote for blooloop about the reality of creating successful attractions. Also, he wrote about about cost controllers and their impact on themed entertainment projects.
