TEA invites applications for new board candidates

News
Nominations TEA Board

Prospective board members have until 19 August to register their interest

The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), a non-profit representing compelling places and experiences worldwide, is searching for candidates to fill its International and Divisional Boards.

The TEA is looking for members interested in advancing the Association’s mission and helping it shape the future of the themed entertainment industry. Its mission is to bring together creators of immersive destinations and experiences, enabling them to share knowledge, collaborate and spark new ideas, as well as celebrating innovation and cultivating a diverse global membership.

There is currently an opportunity to serve on one of five TEA Boards of Directors, including the International Board (I-Board), the strategic governing body for TEA. Four Division Boards are also seeking board members, for the Asia Pacific, Eastern North America, Europe & Middle East, and Western North America regions, which serve members at a local level.

Each TEA Board is tasked with identifying the strategic needs of Association members, the global industry and individual markets through each regional division. This provides members with the opportunity to support industry growth, helping build connections to grow industry capacity and expand awareness of TEA’s work.

Eligibility

Employees working at TEA Standard Member companies are qualified to apply to be considered for inclusion in board director position ballots. Board directors typically serve three-year terms, not exceeding two consecutive terms.

Individual members, including educators and students, can submit an application to be included on a ballot for individual representative positions. Those privileged to be selected serve two-year terms with full voting and participation rights.

The TEA has provided prospective applicants with qualifying criteria for International Board directors and Divisional Board members.

The association says: “TEA supports equal opportunities for all and aspires to create and maintain an overall environment, leadership included, that advances the ideals that diversity of people and thought best represent the Association and society.”

Interested parties must submit their interest with an application form by 19 August 2022.

The TEA is also currently accepting submissions for speakers for its upcoming TEA SATE 2022 event in Las Vegas, US.
