TEA China announces Fantawild as corporate sponsor

The Asian entertainment company is one of the region’s leading leisure and animation groups

The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), a non-profit representing compelling places and experiences worldwide, has appointed Fantawild Holdings Inc. as its first golden sponsor for the Chinese region.

The organisation says that Fantawild will be the first of a number of year-round supporters of TEA China, a Wholly-Owned Foreign Entity (WOFE) formed by TEA last year.

Fantawild Parks

TEA China has continued to grow its active member companies from its inception, despite the ongoing challenge the COVID-19 pandemic presents to mainland China.

The regional association has spent recent months building its reputation and brand within China by delivering news and educational content through its website and on the WeChat social media platform.

General manager of TEA China, Michael Pan says: “With the addition of Fantawild as our first year-round corporate sponsor, we are on our way toward building a sustainable future for TEA in China.

“Thanks to the leadership of Owen Zhao, Chair of the China Development Council, as well as other members of the Council, we can communicate to members of the LBE and tourism industry locally, the value in being a part of this historic and groundbreaking effort to establish the themed entertainment industry in China.”

Key leader in the region

Fantawild Holdings Inc. is a creative entertainment and technology innovator in China, being one of the first in the region to utilise a strategy that combines culture, technology and tourism with an industrial chain that integrates creative design, R&D, content production and operations.

Fantawild Animations

Fantawild focuses on the two core business activities of culturally-themed high-tech amusement parks, and entertainment services such as films, animation, themed productions and consumer products.

Fantawild Holdings CEO Daisy Chang says: “Fantawild is one of only a few companies capable of building an entire theme park utilizing their own industrial chain from creative design, research and development, content production, park construction and market operation.

“We offer bespoke theme park products and services to clients around the globe, including master planning, amusement park equipment trading and theme park investing to name just a few.” 

A large industry presence

Fantawild has constructed and operated more than ten distinct theme park brands, including Fantawild Adventure, Fantawild Oriental Heritage, and Fantawild Asian Legend.

There are currently over 30 Fantawild theme parks in China, with the number of guests visiting these parks having ranked fifth globally for theme park attendance for the last half-decade.

Fantawild opened its latest theme park last month following 3.1 billion CNY of investment, with an anticipated attendance of up to 3 million visitors per year.
